Must Haves for Blog Posts!

Below is the Reading Response Criteria that we came up with in class which will be used to mark your blog posts. Make sure you are referring to this criteria before you publish your post.

Everybody Loves Details - write details that paint a picture and use specific examples whenever possible

The Big Picture - talk about personal connections or comparisons, themes, main ideas or issues

Recipe for Reflection - make predictions, talk about important quotations and what you think they mean, share your feelings about what you are reading or comment of character, plot or setting development

One final thought...Remember that the purpose of blogging is to share your thinking and make it visible. So, make sure you get the online conversation going by asking questions or making comments that are going to get your fellow bloggers to want to respond back to you!
