Safe as Houses-Research
I was looking through the book until I found out that there was information about the hurricane on one of the last few pages. The wind was going 100 - 150 km per hour and it rained 25 cm. It was a huge flood! It says that over 4000 people were left homeless! Could you imagine? It also says that 112 people died in the disaster. Houses, supplies and bridges were all washed away in the flood's current. It sounds like a terrible disaster!

The Weather! :O
The weather out side is similar to the weather in my book...last night I was afraid to read it because of all the scary things that are happening to the main characters Elizabeth, David and Suzie.
